TaskD 1.0: one plan for the Gantt, the board, and your week
After nine months of beta, TaskD 1.0 is out. The Gantt is the home screen, the board runs on the same tasks, and everyone gets a queue for their week.
One plan, three views: the Gantt, the board, and My work show the same tasks.
Nine months ago we opened a private beta with a simple promise: the plan and the work should live on the same screen. Today TaskD 1.0 opens to new teams.
Most project tools treat the Gantt chart as a report. Someone builds it at kickoff, exports it to a slide, and it goes stale by the second week. The real work moves to a board or a list, and the two drift apart. Monday mornings turn into status meetings because nobody trusts either one.
TaskD starts from the timeline instead. Every task is a bar with an owner, a start date, an estimate, and progress. The board is not a separate project — its columns are the same statuses, and its cards are the same tasks. Drag a card to Done and the bar closes. Drag a bar to next week and the card's due date moves with it.
What's in 1.0
- Gantt and board in one view. Switch between them without losing context. Filters and selection carry over.
- My work. Everyone gets a queue built from the Gantt, in the order tasks actually run, with hours left on the current task.
- Team workload. Managers see hours per person per week and get a warning when someone is booked past capacity.
- Forecast dates. TaskD compares hours left with the time people actually have and shows when a task will really finish, next to the date you planned.
- Import from Jira and monday.com. Projects, issues, history, assignees, and attachments come over in one pass.
Pricing
Starter is free forever for teams of up to five. Team is $8 per seat per month and adds unlimited members, automations, workload, and baselines. Business is $16 per seat and adds SSO, audit logs, and priority support.
Thank you to every beta team who sent us a screenshot of something broken at 11 p.m. The product is better because of you. If you're new, request access: we'll walk you through TaskD on a short call and set up your first project together.
